Commercial HVAC in Elk Grove Village, IL

Warehouses, plants and data halls next to O’Hare, where HVAC-R keeps production, product and servers on spec.

Elk Grove Village is home to the Elk Grove Technology Park, one of the largest industrial business parks in North America, and it sits right on the western edge of O’Hare. Manufacturing, logistics, food processing and a growing cluster of data centers share the same streets.

Industrial buildings ask different things of HVAC-R than offices do. Warehouses run on gas-fired unit heaters and make-up air, manufacturers need process cooling and ventilation, food operations depend on refrigeration, and data halls care about one thing above all: the cooling never stops.

What we see in Elk Grove Village buildings

  1. 01

    Make-up air and unit heaters

Big open warehouse volumes, dock doors opening all day, and heaters that have to keep up in sub-zero weather.

  2. 02

    Process and equipment cooling

Production areas where heat from machines, not people, drives the cooling load.

  3. 03

    Industrial refrigeration

Coolers, freezers and refrigerated docks where a fault is measured in product lost.

  4. 04

Older rooftop equipment on newer tenants

Buildings that have changed tenants several times, with equipment and ductwork that no longer match the use inside.

Do you work on industrial buildings in the Elk Grove Technology Park?

Yes. Elk Grove Village is in Velocity HVAC-R’s service area, and industrial HVAC-R is the core of what we do: rooftop units, make-up air, unit heaters, air handlers, refrigeration and the controls that run them.

Call 630-439-5958 with the building address and the equipment involved.

Why can’t my warehouse stay warm when the dock doors are open?

Because every open dock door dumps heated air and pulls in cold air, and the building is usually short on make-up air or heater capacity to replace it. Negative pressure makes it worse by pulling cold air in through every gap.

The answer is often a combination: heaters that work at full output, make-up air that actually runs, and controls that react to door activity. We start by measuring what the equipment is doing now.

Can you help with cooling for production areas or equipment rooms?

Yes. Process and equipment areas are cooled to protect machines and products, and the load comes from equipment heat more than from people or sun. That changes how the system is sized and controlled.

We look at the load, the existing equipment and how critical uptime is before recommending a repair, added capacity or redundancy.
